What are Green Tags?

The energy that runs our nation's homes and businesses comes from a variety of sources including coal, gas, nuclear and hydroelectric power.

Nationally, the facilities that make that power feed it into a large pool of energy called the power grid. Every time we turn on a light in our house or crank the air conditioner on a hot day we drain energy from that pool. Since it's a mix of resources, we don't have a choice of what kind of power we drain out of the pool - we just have to take the mix that comes through the power lines at that moment. But we do have a way to choose the types of energy that go back into the pool (or mix).
At Drawbridge to Europe, Inc. we are making sure that only 100% clean, pure wind energy goes back into the power pool to replace what we take from it. We have purchased Green Tags that will offset the amount of energy used to operate our business. If enough of us make the commitment to replace fossil fuel energy with renewables, we make the pool cleaner for everyone!
