Located in the Marais (3rd arr.) on the Rue Saint-Martin which is hopping with bistros, bars, and boutiques, and there's even a boulangerie just across the street. The apartment is a spacious 34-square meter studio apartment with a divided bedroom/living room and separate kitchen/dining area. Third floor, no elevator.

Light and bright, this cozy apartment is packed with all the comforts of home, including a built-in desk, flat-screen TV (CNN and BBC available), CD/DVD stereo system, high-speed internet connection, and more. The kitchen is equipped with a washer/dryer, refrigerator, 4-burner cook top, microwave/grill, coffee pot, and toaster; and the table in the dining area provides comfortable seating for four. Bedding consists of one queen-size bed that can be divided into two single beds plus a double sofa sleeper. The bathroom has its own window, which provides a cross breeze in the apartment, and it is equipped with shower, sink, toilet, and a heated towel bar.

It's an easy stroll from this completely renovated apartment in the heart of the Marais to the lively Pompidou/Beaubourg area, the Arts et Metiers museum, and other historical and shopping areas of the 2nd and 3rd arrondissements. Be sure not to miss the free organ concert at Saint-Eustache every Sunday evening at 5:30pm just a few blocks west of the apartment. North of Saint-Eustache, you can explore the famous rue Montorgueil pedestrian shopping area. Nearest Metro/RER Stations: Etienne Marcel, Arts et Metier, Reaumur Sebastopol. My stay at this apartment in Paris met and exceeded all of my expectations! The apartment was clean, newly updated, had all the modern conveniences I could need, and was very comfortable. It was ideally located in Paris; close to several metro stops, and minutes to the Centre Pompidou with all the nearby cafes, restaurants and shops. It was a perfect home away from home! The host was more than helpful, and I felt very safe and comfortable there.

My recommendations for the area:
The Monoprix at Blvd Sebastopol had everything I could need for meals, etc and was convenient walking distance. Be sure to walk to the rue des Rosiers and eat at As du Falafel...I guarantee you won't be able to eat there just once!

: This is a modern, fully functioning, comfortable and very pretty apartment. We (a couple and teenage daughter) enjoyed our stay and recommend it wholeheartedly to others. Although not on a particularly attractive block, the location of this apartment is very convenient to all areas of Paris, either by foot or three metro stops within 3-4 blocks. The interior is very clean and with a small refrigerator, stovetop and bathroom with shower offered all we needed for our stay. Our rental experience - starting with advice from Drawbridge to Europe through directions and meeting the key holder - was easy and very helpful.

My recommendations for the area:
Wonderful (good quality, reasonable price and helpful sales advice) wine & cheese shop down the street on rue Saint Martin toward Pompidou Centre.

We were very happy with the apartment. It had everything we needed to be comfortable for a week. It was great to have a kitchen and washer/dryer. We usually prepared breakfast in the apartment before heading out for the day. My husband used the microwave to make popcorn.

The location was good; close to a few Metro stations, across the street from a Boulangerie, and close to many restaurants. A couple of small grocery stores were close, but I don't remember the names.

One nearby restaurant that we really liked was d'Auvergne Ambassade. We had dinner there twice.

Our apartment rental in Paris was a new experience for us and we were very pleased with it. Drawbridge to Europe is a professional operation, easy to work with and one that delivers on its promises.

The apartment we selected , on historic rue Saint Martin, was nicely furnished, comfortable and clean. We used the kitchen very little but it was handy to have available; good to have a clothes washer/dryer also. No air conditioning but a good cross breeze at night. This was a 3d floor walk-up on narrow stairs but well worth it.

The location was perfect. We wanted to live like Parisians in a neighborhood environment and that's what we did. It was a short walk to the Seine at Notre Dame and the metro is only a few minutes away. We felt very safe in this location, and all of Paris for that matter.

We stayed five nights and are ready to go back! We had a museum pass which worked out well and went to Versaille on Wedâ€¦nice short lines with the museum pass. We had a teen age granddaughter with us and she fell in love with the city. The one disappointment was a restaurant recommended by Frommers but disappointing to us and one they may want to revisit. It is called Le Marais at 54 rue Ste-Croix-de-la Bretonnerie. We have generally had better luck in Europe following Rick Steves recommendations.

Payment

A 30% deposit of the total rent is due within 7 days of the time the booking is confirmed. The balance is due no later than eight weeks before the beginning of the rental period. After full payment has been received, a voucher, directions and the address of the property are sent to the tenant. If at any time due to circumstances beyond our control the property booked becomes unavailable or unfit for habitation, the tenant will be notified immediately. We will either reimburse the tenant the entire amount of the rental cost, or, if so instructed by the tenant, try to arrange an alternative accommodation of equal value (if available).

Arrival and Departure

The minimum rental period is 5 nights. Rental periods begin after 4 PM on the arrival date and end before 10 am on the departure date unless arranged otherwise in advance. Damages The client is obligated to report any damages caused by him/her to the property and is financially responsible for these damages.

Complaints

If the client has cause for complaint, he/she should inform the representative immediately, so he may take the necessary steps to eliminate the cause for any reasonable complaint.

Linen

Please handle rented linens with care. Do not use linens for anything other than their intended use. The client is liable for linen they damage and/or any missing linen.

Extra Costs

The rental price includes 5 Euros per week for toll calls to numbers such as cell phones in France. Excess toll phone calls will be charged against your damage deposit. Consult the instruction booklet in the apartment to determine which calls are free of charge. Upon leaving, it is your responsibility to return the apartment to a clean and orderly state, which includes clean dishware, trash cans emptied, and bed linens removed and folded. If you prefer, cleaning can be arranged after your departure at a cost of 70 Euros (approximately $95), which will be charged against your damage deposit. For stays longer than one week, a cleaning and change of linens can be arranged weekly at a cost of 70 Euros to be paid in local currency. For stays longer than 10 days a free change of linens from the agency across the street are available free of charge. More than two weeks, change of linen are available weekly free of charge. The client can also pay 26 Euros for a one-hour sprucing up of the apartment and linen change.

Damage Deposit

Your damage deposit will be returned within 30 days after your departure less any extras or damages.

Cancellation Policy

Should the client for any reason cancel the booking, the following cancellation charges will be applied:

30 days before the arrival date 30% cancellation fee.
Cancellations made 30 - 7 days before the arrival date 50%.
Cancellations 7- 0 days before arrival date 100%.

Number of persons

If the number of people exceeds that indicated on the voucher and specified in the property description, the owner or representative can refuse entrance to the property.

Nuisances

We reserve the right to terminate a rental immediately without compensation where a tenant causes nuisance of whatever nature to neighbors or the property. The owner will make every endeavor to ensure speedy repairs.

The Accommodation

Remember that you are staying in someone's private property. Treat the accommodation and its furnishings and fittings carefully. Please respect your neighbors and avoid causing noise and/or any nuisances to them. The maximum party size in each property is stated in the description. The pitching of a tent or parking of a caravan in the garden to accommodate more people than the maximum is strictly forbidden. Take sensible security precautions and in particular ensure all windows are closed and doors locked when leaving the property. Be aware of the antique furniture, more fragile than contemporary furniture.

Leave the property in order

You must leave the property and furniture in the same arrangement and condition as when you took occupancy. Please empty the dishwasher and put away all the dishes. Empty garbage bins. If you rent sheets and towels, fold them and leave them in the main room.

Jurisdiction

For any dispute concerning booking and renting only the court of law of Paris, France will have jurisdiction.
