My stay at this apartment in Paris met and exceeded all of my expectations! The apartment was clean, newly updated, had all the modern conveniences I could need, and was very comfortable. It was ideally located in Paris; close to several metro stops, and minutes to the Centre Pompidou with all the nearby cafes, restaurants and shops. It was a perfect home away from home! The host was more than helpful, and I felt very safe and comfortable there. My recommendations for the area:
The Monoprix at Blvd Sebastopol had everything I could need for meals, etc and was convenient walking distance. Be sure to walk to the rue des Rosiers and eat at As du Falafel...I guarantee you won't be able to eat there just once!

The property was very nice, good location for getting around, efficient, nicely remodeled ....excellant layout and design, the glass block was terrific for seperating the areas but providing light, well furnished and appointed with kitchen utencils, very enjoyable. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much. Yolanda was very kind and very helpful.

: This is a modern, fully functioning, comfortable and very pretty apartment. We (a couple and teenage daughter) enjoyed our stay and recommend it wholeheartedly to others. We used the apartment thoroughly: ate breakfast and cooked most of our dinners here, and hung out in the evening. It is also very convenient to transportation. I felt secure working with Drawbridge To Europe. They were professional, and made the rental process run smoothly.
Thanks everone! We would definitely rent this apartment again, and work with Drawbridge to Europe.

Although not on a particularly attractive block, the location of this apartment is very convenient to all areas of Paris, either by foot or three metro stops within 3-4 blocks. The interior is very clean and with a small refrigerator, stovetop and bathroom with shower offered all we needed for our stay. Our rental experience - starting with advice from Drawbridge to Europe through directions and meeting the key holder - was easy and very helpful.
My recommendations for the area:
Wonderful (good quality, reasonable price and helpful sales advice) wine & cheese shop down the street on rue Saint Martin toward Pompidou Centre.

We were very happy with the apartment. It had everything we needed to be comfortable for a week. It was great to have a kitchen and washer/dryer. We usually prepared breakfast in the apartment before heading out for the day. My husband used the microwave to make popcorn. The location was good; close to a few Metro stations, across the street from a Boulangerie, and close to many restaurants. A couple of small grocery stores were close, but I don't remember the names.
One nearby restaurant that we really liked was d'Auvergne Ambassade. We had dinner there twice.

Our apartment rental in Paris was a new experience for us and we were very pleased with it. Drawbridge to Europe is a professional operation, easy to work with and one that delivers on its promises. The apartment we selected , on historic rue Saint Martin, was nicely furnished, comfortable and clean. We used the kitchen very little but it was handy to have available; good to have a clothes washer/dryer also. No air conditioning but a good cross breeze at night. This was a 3d floor walk-up on narrow stairs but well worth it.
The location was perfect. We wanted to live like Parisians in a neighborhood environment and that's what we did. It was a short walk to the Seine at Notre Dame and the metro is only a few minutes away. We felt very safe in this location, and all of Paris for that matter.
We stayed five nights and are ready to go back! We had a museum pass which worked out well and went to Versaille on Wed…nice short lines with the museum pass. We had a teen age granddaughter with us and she fell in love with the city. The one disappointment was a restaurant recommended by Frommers but disappointing to us and one they may want to revisit. It is called Le Marais at 54 rue Ste-Croix-de-la Bretonnerie. We have generally had better luck in Europe following Rick Steves recommendations.
We highly recommend Drawbridge to Europe and if anyone wishes more information, feel free to contact us at ehwe@aol.c om

Thank you so much for your prompt note. Due to severe jet lag, we are just now getting around to answering our emails. Rue Saint Martin and the Coppens were terrific. The neighborhood was wonderful; everything is close and there are more good restaurants within walking distance than anyone could possibly try, even if you were there for six months. The three flights of stairs were a bit of a challenge at first, but we got used to them quickly. The apartment was small, as expected, but it had everything we needed and everything worked perfectly. Even though the sleeping area was over the street, and being in the Marais it was busy until early morning, we were never bothered by the noise. The appointments in the apartment were well chosen for style and function. It was a great choice for us.Thank you very much for making the rental easy and two thumbs up to the owners of the flat for offering such a delightful place.!..

Dear Karin,Thank you - I am happy to comment on my experience with the apartment and you are welcome to post the following:
We called from the airport and when we arrived the owner was waiting for us outside to make sure we didn't miss the entry door. He was very nice, easy to talk to, and explained how to use the phone, tv, etc. He gave us a binder with instructions for all of the appliances, but told us we could call him anytime.
The apartment is bright, very clean and comfortable. It was all exactly as advertised, if not better, and a wonderful place to stay if you're visiting Paris. We loved the neighborhood and felt very safe in our comings and goings. The three flights up are hard with jet lag and tons of groceries and luggage, but not really a problem at all after that. The kitchen was easy to use: it has a nice little four top stove, microwave, coffee pot - really everything you'd need and more to cook for four. It was equipped with dish soap, paper towels, and some coffee, ice trays full in the freezer and other essentials. There is a combination washer/dryer which only our French friend wasn't afraid to use, despite the clear directions. The bathroom is nice with a good shower and a window to the interior courtyard. The large bed has a great mattress, but the couch fold out bed is not so comfortable. We loved sleeping next to the street window where we could hear a little slice of life every night. (Our only complaint really, is the lack of a full length mirror for trying on our clothing purchases.)
We arrived with a lot of food and wine so didn't really need to shop in the little stores locally, but there were small grocery shops within a block or two of the apartment. It is close to many little sidewalk cafes and shops catering to tourists visiting the Centre Georges-Pompidou and there's a bakery right across the street. The walk to the Seine is pleasant; once there try the BatoBus which you can take all day, up and down the river, for one price.
I recommend this apartment and hope someday to stay in it again. We had a great time.
Thanks very much!
